Room changes at hotels or a change of location mid booking incur a fee for the time spent packing up kits and moving location.

WHERE DO TRIALS TAKE PLACE & WHAT DAYS?

Trials take place in Geelong, Torquay or Leopold depending on which artist you have and the day.

Please note we generally don’t do trials on Saturdays or Sundays unless in the quiet Winter season.

Please allow up to 2 hours for a hair & makeup trial appointment, and up to 1 hour for hair OR makeup.

Feel free to bring a friend or family member along on the day!

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY HAIR / MAKEUP TRIAL? DO I NEED ONE?

We recommend having a hair and makeup trial around 4-8 weeks before your wedding day.

Having a trial is important so that we can meet prior to the day and go over the look you want. Its peace of mind to
know you’ll be in love with your wedding day look.

WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY TRIAL?

We really value the consultation process at your trial.

Bring along your inspiration pictures, any jewellery and images of your dress to help us carve out the best look to go for.

Please come along to your hair trial with clean and dry hair and clean exfoliated and moisturised skin.

TIP* When you are looking for inspiration pictures of hairstyles, it is helpful to look for brunette images if you are brunette and blonde images if you are blonde. Hair colour dramatically changes the look of a hair style.
Likewise when looking for makeup inspiration shots its best to look for images where you have a similar skintone and eye colour. If you are coming in for a hair trial only, it’s is a great idea to apply some makeup before you come in so you can get an idea of how the look may piece together.

SHOULD I GET A SPRAY TAN?

Spray tans are great for that added glow when done well! We recommend a very light spray on your face.

Definitely go for a trial spray before your wedding day.

*TIP we recommend having a spray tan at the time of your wedding makeup trial if you’re considering having one on the actual wedding day.

SHOULD I GET LASH EXTENSIONS OR A LASH LIFT/PERM?

Lash extensions are great when kept on the natural side, we can always add length and volume to the extensions with individual lashes if need be.

Lash lifts/perms are a technical nightmare if you’re also considering wearing false lashes to your wedding or event. Best avoided so as to keep your options open on the day you have your makeup done.

WHAT SKIN TREATMENTS/PRODUCTS ARE BEST LEADING UP TO MY EVENT OR WEDDING DAY?

Anything that encourages skin renewal and hydration is recommended. We love Micro dermabrasion treatments. Look for products to use at home that contain Retin-A, hyaloronic acid, vitamin C, AHA’S & BHA’S.

Drinking lots of water makes a big difference to your skins texture and appearance, don’t hold back on your water intake the week leading up to your event.

WILL I NEED TO TOUCH UP MY MAKEUP?

Lips will need touching up. Arrange to have a lip liner and creamy lipstick on hand. Long wearing stains are also ideal, as long as they aren’t drying on the lips. Powder through the t-zone area may be needed depending on your skin type.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ON THE DAY TO DO A GROUP BOOKING?

Depending on the timing of your wedding/event we may have 1 or 2 artists there to look after you.

Each hair / makeup takes approximately 40-45 minutes. We allow extra time for the brides hair and makeup and touch ups for the group before leaving.
